dutch version

What's in a name?

Know the ropes...

'ScheepsWijs' is an old Dutch word, meaning something similar to the English expression 'know the ropes'.
'Knowing the ropes' is very literally what we are about.

Our strength is that you are the person doing the sailing. We are present to ensure that that happens safely and to advise you where needed.
This makes for a very different experience to, say, if you were a guest on a larger charter boat. The limited size of the boats we use gives you the room to experiment and us the room to allow that to happen.
